Update Two on the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Experiments.

My Two current SEO experiments.

Search Engine Optimization Experiment One is finally getting a little traction in Google search. It took quite a few days to start showing up. I started really tracking it on a regular basis about 10 days ago. It is now 47th in the primary long tail keyword/phrase. It is not yet ranking for the shorter keyword I will ultimately be targeting.

I am ranking very well in Bing for the same long-tail keyword/phrase and have been for a while.

Again Experiment Two has some interesting surprises.

I will start with its ranking in Google search, where its long-tail keyword/phrase has drastically dropped in ranking. However the shorter keyword/phrase I wanted to rank for has gone from not ranking at all to being 19th in organic search.

The longer long-tail keyword/phrase I used to rank at number 17th in Google organic search is now seventh in Bing’s search. So in Bing it went from not being in the first 120 listings to being on the first page.

Overall for being ten days into the Experiment Two it is going well.

I need to mention Experiment One has be going on longer and involves a much more competitive keyword/phrase. Search Engine Marketing is a constantly evolving art.

As I mention at the end of the video I am starting to plan two new Search Engine Optimization experiments. However they may take a while to get off the ground. One requires figuring out some technical issues and the other will require shopping for and learning new software. All three of these tasks have a cost. I think we can group these costs according to Michael Porter’s classification as, shopping costs and switching costs.
